Promises Made are now Proud Accomplishments:

  • Safeway is being built along with additional retail and office space, roof garden and pocket park. I was instrumental in keeping the process on track -  See Safeway

  • The new Economic Development Team of which I am an original member has cut red tape, attracted new businesses and become a resource for existing businesses.

  • Police services were saved from an ill-conceived merger
  • Easton Library was in jeopardy of being closed;  I along with many others made donations and walked the neighborhood to keep this beloved library open
  • Supported our schools through donations to BCE and GameOn – See Schools
  • Protected Fire Department services through negotiations with fire personnel
  • Prudent financial and budget decisions have been made- See Financial Sustainability

My Pledge to You

  • Prevent High Speed Rail from destroying our neighborhoods and home values – See High Speed Rail
    Prevent the wireless telecommunication companies from destroying the aesthetics of our neighborhoods
  • Maintain our high quality police and fire protection.
  • Develop additional recreational fields for our youth:  We are currently negotiating with the driving range; since they need less room, areas that could be used for youth fields will become available.
  • Keep Burlingame on a sound financial footing with balanced budgets – See Financial Sustainability
  • Promote, protect and work with our schools, both public and private  — See Schools
  • Improve the appearance of Burlingame Avenue that is now a thriving, lively area for everyone to meet, to shop and to dine.  Consultants have been hired and citizen input will begin soon.
  • Preserve the quality of our neighborhoods and parks
