Economic Development Team

This team was formed to help foster a business friendly environment in order to generate an increased tax base and to preserve our excellent levels of service.  This team (Patricia Love, Vice Mayor Jerry Deal and Councilwoman Ann Keighran) and in some cases two planning commissioners takes a preliminary look at larger projects before they expend large amounts of time and capital.  The “old approach” led to the suggestion that Burlingame was not a business friendly environment.  The “new way” is working!  We haven’t forgotten those businesses already here either.  The team meets on a regular basis with many people and groups, including: Burlingame Avenue merchants, Broadway merchants, property owners, hotel managers, auto dealers, Rollins Road property Owners, Burlingame Plaza Owners and merchants, building permit applicants, etc.   The list goes on and on.
